Questions worth clearing up
How does the 14-day free trial work?
Annual Pro offers a 14-day free trial to eligible new subscribers. Eligibility is determined by the App Store and shown in the in-app purchase screen before you buy — so treat that screen as authoritative. To avoid renewal after the trial, cancel in the App Store at least 24 hours before it ends. Otherwise, the subscription renews annually.
Do Annual and Lifetime differ in features?
No. Both unlock exactly the same Pro capabilities. The only difference is how you pay: yearly subscription, or once.
Why does changing exclusions require Pro?
Free uses fixed default exclusion rules. Pro lets you adjust the three default categories and add your own rules. Searching cloud file names and app private data also requires Full Disk Access.
What if I get a new Mac?
Sign in with the same Apple Account, download Locseek from the App Store, and tap "Restore Purchases" in the app. No second payment.
How do I cancel a subscription?
On your Mac, open the App Store → click your avatar → Account Settings → Subscriptions, and cancel Locseek. Pro stays available through the end of the current period.
Can I get a refund?
All transactions are handled by Apple. For a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple's standard policy.
Why is there no monthly plan?
File search is not a monthly content service. Offering "free forever, plus yearly, plus one-time" keeps your relationship with Locseek simple — and one less subscription to be tired of.
