Questions worth clearing up
How does the 14-day free trial work?
Annual Pro offers a 14-day free trial to eligible new subscribers. Eligibility is determined by the App Store and shown in the in-app purchase screen before you buy — so treat that screen as authoritative. Cancel any time during the trial in your App Store account settings and you are not charged; after the trial it renews yearly.
Do Annual and Lifetime differ in features?
No. Both unlock exactly the same Pro capabilities. The only difference is how you pay: yearly subscription, or once.
Why does changing exclusions require Pro?
Because the free tier's scope is only Desktop, Documents and Downloads, and the default exclusions (Trash, build artifacts and dependencies, app private data, cloud file names) sit at the recommended state — there is neither a need nor an option to adjust them. The situations that genuinely call for changing them almost always come with "I want to index more places", so the two live in the same tier. The free tier can read the explanations for those switches, but not change them.
What if I get a new Mac?
Sign in with the same Apple Account, download Locseek from the App Store, and tap "Restore Purchases" in the app. No second payment.
How do I cancel a subscription?
On your Mac, open the App Store → click your avatar → Account Settings → Subscriptions, and cancel Locseek. Pro stays available through the end of the current period.
Can I get a refund?
All transactions are handled by Apple. For a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple's standard policy.
Why is there no monthly plan?
File search is not a monthly content service. Offering "free forever, plus yearly, plus one-time" keeps your relationship with Locseek simple — and one less subscription to be tired of.

A minute to install and grant. If you end up using it every day, Pro will still be there.
