More in Free

  • Desktop, Documents and Downloads are no longer one-or-the-other — pick one, two, or all three. Each folder is authorized separately and shows its own status, so you always know what is searchable.
  • New free query conditions hidden:, package: and under: pin results to an exact directory level.

More in Pro: from "several locations" to "any location"

  • The entire startup disk, any folder, external drives, USB sticks, NAS and network shares. No additional permissions required.

Faster

  • Folder-scoped searches, one- and two-letter searches, and combined queries under non-ASCII paths are all substantially faster.

More accurate

  • Settings changes apply to the current search immediately; newly created or moved folders no longer leave stale results behind.
  • The status-bar number is always the count of items you can actually search.
  • A series of cloud name-indexing defects fixed: adding "iCloud Drive" directly from Finder no longer scans only a few dozen items, and iCloud no longer keeps asking for authorization after you have selected the startup disk and enabled Full Disk Access.

Quieter

  • Lower footprint during first indexing and after settings changes; index consolidation runs only while you are idle, instead of periodically competing with the foreground.

Why are 1.5.x and 1.6.0 – 1.6.5 missing?Those versions existed during development but never shipped on the App Store, so you could never download them. Listing them here would promise things you cannot get — we only publish actual releases.
